Job Description: Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Vice President of Field Operations to join our team in the SE region! Some things you can expect to do: Oversee the Divisions Regional Field Coordinators in the management and support of their regional field staff and drive consistency, accountability in learning, development, performance, and execution. Work collectively on the sharing of resources through National Field Op's, Sector, and other Divisions to ensure the staffing needs are met. Lead the candidate selection/hiring process in their division to assure adequate resources are available and assigned to all projects when sharing of resources is not possible. This includes participating in the approval of requisition's posted in Workday, interviews (Sr. Supts and above) and participating in the approval of any offer letters. Attend Go/No Go meetings for projects within division and participate in staffing discussions, review of general conditions budget for adequacy, and experience/competency of suggested staffing. Drive success in the preplanning and preconstruction of pursuits, be proactive in identifying risks and engage in the strategy of mitigating those risks with the project teams. Review/Approve Precon's Design, Schedule, and Budget deliverable to execution teams prior to contract execution. Assure Regional Field Coordinators require Precon Meetings are held prior to project start. Assure Regional Field Coordinators support Project Management and Field Management in project proposal stage with schedules and GC budgeting and/or trouble shooting of problems on projects that arise. Assist Regional Field Coordinator and Project Teams with development of recovery plans on failing projects and assure compliance with recovery plan is achieved. Attend Monthly Schedule/SmartPM/Dashboard reviews conducted by National Schedulers for projects within your division. Assure Regional Field Coordinators require all team members use the appropriate policy and procedures and that its use is consistent with the methods used throughout the entire field department. Assure Regional Field Coordinators require team members to adhere to scheduling fundamentals, (Ryan Process), using P6, MS Project software, SmartPM and dashboards. Oversee (under the direction of the National SVP of Field Ops) your Regions annual Field performance reviews, as well as the incentive and compensation adjustment process. Support Regional Field Coordinators with the annual budgeting process. Monitor monthly financials. Coordinate with National SVP of Field Op's for the procurement of capital expenses, and required actions associated with Ryan Yard operations within their division. Assure Regional Yard Operations within division follow established policy/procedures and utilize standardized software and accounting practices. Coordinate regional capital expenditures with SVP of Field Ops prior to placing orders for purchase. Understand, participate, and contribute to the implementation of the QA program. Assure Regional Field Coordinators require team members to implement a Quality Plan for their project utilizing Procore Action Plan templates and execute the associated quality assurance (before the work starts) and quality control (after the work starts) activities. This should be an inclusive team effort with the project management staff Assure Regional Field Coordinators require team m mbers implement and enforce the Ryan Safety Program. Assist with regional harassment claims, team disfunction, and or disciplinary issues. Assure proper protocols are followed and documented. Monitor, review and approve Concur expense reports for your direct reports. Ensure proper procedures are being following for all field related expense reports in your division. Coordinate and support efforts of Regional Field Assistants through the National Field Assistant Manager. Review CRM project pursuits and utilize Bridgit for tracking staff assignments and needs within division. Organize regular Field Coordinator calls within division and assure participation in National Field Coordinator monthly meetings. Understand and support the National Field Operations onboarding, mentorship and internship program(s), and share results with the National Field Operations team to help guide training and development efforts. Review Billable/Standard Cost Rates within Division - Q1 annually. Review Regional Asset Depreciation List for accuracy. Review status of regional equipment sales documentation. Support and require Regional Field Coordinator and Field Managers within Division to complete required annual Vehicle Acknowledgement Policy, inspections, Truck usage documents, Per Diem Forms, and Comp Set-up Forms, accurately. Review and approve Per Diem documentation for travelers within division for accuracy and compliance to policy. Review project documentation in Procore for required level of data. Responsible for development of Field Managers and succession planning at all levels within the division. Contribute performance information for the Field Manager evaluation process that measures performance of the divisions Field Manager Incentive Bonus scoring and/or promotional criteria. Support project teams in the effort to retain and self-perform appropriate scopes of work to identify high potentials and grow talent from within. Work with Field Coordinators in the training of; how to develop people and establish growth plans and expectations Review training records of Field Manager in "Career" to assure training goals are met. Assure/approve readiness for promotion of Field staff within division. Actively engaged in overall strategy with all the SVP's in all divisions, Sectors and National Field Operations. Contribute to special projects pertaining to the overall Field Operations assuring input from all other divisions and final approval from National Field Operations. Remain current with new developments in the construction industry in general and communicate them to team members. Act as a resource to project construction team(s) Utilize Shamrock program to recognize great performance. Exhibit leadership qualities by setting a good example of the type of behavior that is expected from all Ryan employees.
