RBC Sr. Software Engineer in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Summary Job Description Sr. Software Engineer, RBC Capital Markets, LLC, Minneapolis, MN: Design new real-time and batch MuleSoft APIs to interface with Salesforce and other back-end systems. Construct new real-time and batch MuleSoft APIs that will interface with Salesforce and various backend systems. Interact with other back-end teams to troubleshoot or manage issues with source systems. Remediate defects related to existing and new MuleSoft APIs. Work with other MuleSoft developers on the team to define the overall MuleSoft architecture direction. Participate in project meetings to establish integration requirements between Salesforce and various source systems. Interact with OpenShift to promote new MuleSoft functionality. Remediate vulnerabilities within the MuleSoft platform. Work closely with our MuleSoft Technical Account Manager and their team to drive roadmap items and leverage their expertise. Attend weekly meetings with our MuleSoft Technical Account team to discuss various items surrounding MuleSoft, such as new features, vulnerabilities, and upcoming events. Consult with other teams looking to leverage MuleSoft and provide architecture and expert direction. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. Must have 5 years of experience in the following: Salesforce Integration; Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) technologies including Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Web Service Description Language (WSDL), and XML Schemas; Mid-tier server side technologies including MuleSoft and Tibco; Multi-tier, component-based architecture and design; and IT Standards, Methodologies, Capability Maturity Model (CMM) & audit requirements. Must have 3 years of experience in the following: MuleSoft development; Design techniques including object-oriented, top-down, structured analysis, component-based design; and MUnit testing.
