Insight Global Sr Databricks Platform Administrator in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Databricks Platform Administrator local to MN, CO, TX or WI to join the Unified Data Platform team at one of our largest Utility Clients. This individual will be the key participant and contributor to the Databricks center of Excellence for Data Platform tools. They will be responsible for the development, administration, and usage of the UDP/Darabrick solutions. Some key responsibilities include; building and supporting system style integrations to Databricks, administering security access to the Databricks system, providing initial system support for Databrick users, and administering the CI/CD process, supporting the entire lifecycle of Databricks. This individual will be expected to build and maintain relationships with various leaders and team members across IT organizations in addition to leading/assisting leadership with technical collaboration activities. Long-term this individual will help with the replacement of Teradata with Databricks. In order to be successful in this role, this individual must be familiar with data integrations, data modeling, data warehousing, bigdata technologies, and have the ability to be the subject matter expert. Overall, this role will be a mix of data architect, developer, and administrator.

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

8+ years of experience in Data Management including data warehousing, engineering, science, analytics, etc.

2+ years of specialized experience in building and maintaining data pipelines in Databricks

Experience with Python and/or Spark in Databricks

Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Experience in Utility/Energy industry

Experience with Teradata null
