Rotomold Operator - Fri - Sun Weekend

The Entry Rotational Molding Operator is responsible for the successful operation of rotational molding machines to produce plastic molded parts for Tennant products. In this role, you’ll utilize a variety of tools and techniques to achieve our high-quality standards. If you are looking for a role where you can work independently while following work instructions, then this is the role for you.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform scraping, flaming, cleaning, mold changing, testing and counting operations to established standards

· Move tools, raw materials, work in progress and finished goods into and outbound of the department

· Recognize, communicate and document safety concerns

· Troubleshoot and adjust to complete assigned tasks

· Understand the quality properties of molds

· Judge the correct shrinkage and maintains necessary tolerances

· Maintain parts inventory and equipment in good operating order

· Use basic hand tools, jigs, fixtures and routers to cut out parts

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

· High School Diploma OR G.E.D. OR equivalent

· 0-2 years of rotational molding and/or injection molding experience

· Must be legally authorized to work within the United States without sponsorship

REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 75 pounds

· Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

· Regularly required to stand, use hands to grip, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms

· Frequently required to walk, talk and hear

ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES:

· Routinely and regularly works near moving mechanical parts

· Frequent exposure to hot conditions

· Occasionally exposed to non-toxic fumes

· Moderate noise level

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to wear safety glasses, steel toed shoes and hearing protection
