Overview
The University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank Campus is looking for a savvy Registered Nurse to join our team of talented healthcare providers!
The RN on the Neuroscience unit provides care to adult patients with complex medical conditions which require close observation, monitoring and interventions, including but not limited to neurological, neurosurgical, ENT and trauma patients.
Our team provides advanced monitoring using current technology, manages complex medication and infusion therapies. In addition, we care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures/interventions on the unit.
This position works a .8FTE (64 hours per 2 week pay period) on the evening shift, at 8 hour shifts with every other weekend rotation. Schedule works every other Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Responsibilities Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN will perform these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. The RN will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to safely and accurately operate unit equipment.
Qualifications
Required:
MN RN License
BLS required
AD required
Preferred:
BSN or higher preferred
Certification in related specialty is helpful
One year of current medical/surgical RN experience in a hospital setting is desired
