Job Details Job Location 1900 Chicago Ave Minneapolis MN 55404 - MINNEAPOLIS, MN Position Type Part-time Education Level High School Diploma/GED Salary Range $17.77 - $22.21 Hourly Job Shift Evenings / Weekends Job Category Mental Health Services Description Join Avivo in Providing Safe and Supportive Housing: Become a Resident Advocate Shift: Weekend, Saturday & Sunday, 11:00am - 7:30pm About Us: Avivo's Transitional Recovery Housing provides a safe place for participants to reside while they are in outpatient treatment. Participants have access to 24-hour on-site Transitional Housing Staff and Security Team, ensuring a safe and secure environment. The Resident Advocate role is crucial in providing customer service to residents, guests, emergency personnel, and service providers, while also supporting client success through pro-social activities. Your Role: As a Resident Advocate, you will ensure high-quality, mission-driven services in a safe recovery environment. You will provide flexible services within a schedule that meets the needs of participants, maintain a participant and guest sign-in log, respond to client calls, manage entry, and exits of buildings, and conduct crisis prevention/intervention as needed. Your role will actively participate in the division's Trauma Informed Care Initiative and motivational interviewing, supporting evidence-based practices related to specific program areas. Key Responsibilities Include: Providing day-to-day support to ensure a safe recovery environment. Demonstrating commitment to SAMSHA's definition of recovery and recovery principles. Maintaining a participant and guest sign-in log and answering client calls. Managing entry and exits of buildings by monitoring cameras/surveillance. Conducting crisis prevention/intervention to ensure housing stability and holistic well-being. Supporting health and wellness activities with participants. Participating as a partner on the team, contributing to discussions, actions, and projects. Qualifications What You Offer: A high school diploma or equivalent, with a course of study in health or human services leading to a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or associate degree. Minimum 2 years' experience working with individuals experiencing mental health and chemical health challenges. Experience with single adults who have experienced long-term homelessness/with the target population served. Demonstrated understanding of the recovery philosophy and recovery-oriented behavioral health services. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities. Good communication skills and a customer service attitude. Ability to maintain professional boundaries with participants.
