UNIVERSAL FOREST PRODUCTS REMOTE - Project Coordinator in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Join our operations team where you will be influential in shaping our business strategy and ensuring we have the most effective operations. The Project Coordinator will coordinate and organize activities surrounding the project cycle while generating cost savings related to assigned projects. Through direct customer contact the Project Coordinator is accountable and responsible for managing assigned projects from initial customer requests through completion. Location: Remote, can live anywhere in the United States Travel Required: up to 25% Principle Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate and organize activities surrounding the project cycle Monitor each project from order entry to completion Ensure that identified issues are reacted to in a timely manner Partner with all functions, especially production, to organize and support critical aspects to meet customer delivery dates Support the Project Management team through, Capturing/Interpreting/Inputting/Maintaining Sales Orders; Input/Participation at production meetings; Maintaining/Updating all project information through ERP system; Ship Schedules; Project/Product expediting; Monitoring/Maintaining critical project/program timelines; and Coordinating shipments and deliveries Management of: order entry data, manufacturing and shipping documentation Develop competencies and technical skills focusing on design, detail, quality and engineering of our products Maintain and manage individual project schedules through: assistance in coordinating manufacturing, shipping, and installation Provide shipping instructions as required, including customer shipping specifications Provide customer service, sales support and backup to Project Management Complete individual store quantity take offs (multi store roll out programs) Maintain and update running inventory reports for team and customer and distribute as required Develop cost proposals for final review by project team Upload and organize various field reports and other information on internal or external web based sites Assist in managing finished goods inventory related to assigned customer(s) Qualifications 2+ years working in an administrative/project coordination capacity, preferably in the consumer environments industry. Must have a proven ability to create and maintain spreadsheets utilizing MS Office Programs such as Work and Excel An understanding of ERP fundamentals is preferred. Experience in wood and/or metal manufacturing is an asset. Architectural/Interior Design technical knowledge expertise is preferred. Must be able to work independently while multi-tasking. Ability to express oneself professionally utilizing both verbal and written communications. Organizational skills and a team player mentality is critical. Unparalleled Customer Service Focus Compensation & Benefit InformationHourly Pay Range: $19.66-27.74 per hour, (equates to $40,900 - $57,700) dependent on experience and pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living Bonus/Incentive Pay:A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
