TEKsystems Quality Assurance Specialist in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Description: The Quality Assurance Specialists will be responsible for conducting quality testing on both new and revised benefit plans to determine if the plans contain all of the necessary information and if the claims are adjudicating properly. If a plan is missing information or the claim isn't adjudicating correctly, the Quality Assurance Specialists will send the plan back to the AIS team to correct. The Quality Assurance Specialists will submit ServiceNow requests when testing templates need to be updated. The resources will then take the appropriate steps once testing is complete. The Quality Assurance Specialists will provide support various projects as needed, including testing claims provided by pharmacists, verifying the claims are processing correctly and identifying reasons a claim may be processing differently than expected. The resources will participate in weekly meetings and provide information on claim changes, lessons learned, etc. The Quality Assurance Specialists will work within multiple systems to ensure the plans are built correctly and to the specifications of the clients. No telephone work will be required for this role but the Quality Assurance Specialists will communicate internally with the other members of the team and the AIS representatives. All resources will be expected to work approximately 25 plans per week.

Essential Skills:

  • 2+ years of healthcare experience.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, such as pharmacy, insurance, deductible, copay and provider language.

  • Experience in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pulling information from queues).

  • Ability to utilize web based applications and database tools.

  • Ability to learn and work remotely.

  • Solid analytical, issue resolution and organizational skills.

  • Diligent and detail oriented individual with a commitment to delivering high quality work.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and under strict timelines.

  • Ability to utilize and seek out resources and follow a detailed process.

  • Experience in managing complex data.

  • Willingness to learn new skills and information.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a production based environment.

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
