Mortenson Construction Project Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota

M. A. Mortenson Company seeks a full-time Project Manager based in Minneapolis, MN. The Project Manager provides overall leadership direction to construction projects, including the management of financial health, project quality, timeliness, safety, as well as mentoring the project team. This position requires a Master's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and three years of related experience in the construction industry working on wind energy construction projects. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and five years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience in the construction industry working on wind energy construction projects. Must also have 12 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) interpreting project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons; (2) managing change orders, including determining when to submit to the owner or on-site representative and obtaining the customer/architect's approval; (3) updating project schedule to ensure project deadlines are being met; (4) managing all aspects of testing and inspection processes for the construction quality management program for construction projects; and (5) working with the following software applications: Powerproject, Primavera P6, B2W, Building Connected, Procore, Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, SAP Concur, and MS Office. All experience may have been gained concurrently. Will accept experience gained before, during, or after Master's program. May work in various unanticipated locations in the United States.
