UL, LLC Project Handler in Minneapolis, Minnesota

This role is HYBRID based out of our Minneapolis(Mounds View), MN location.

  • Project Planner responsible for initial customer contact at the start of a new project, gathering necessary documents and samples, regular follow-up, and assigning to engineering.

  • Monitor team workflow and notifying engineers of necessary updates.

  • Monitor aging projects and request necessary approvals.

  • May assist with preparing reports concerning factory inspections and follow-up testing.

  • Responsible for answering correspondence and sending application forms to prospective clients.

  • May assist with preparation of specific test schedules and data sheets.

  • Communicates with managerial and non-managerial personnel and clients by telephone, in person, and by correspondence to clarify information pertinent to product description and to transmit information relative to the preparation of engineering reports and correspondence.

  • Uses system software to prepare letters and technical reports for laboratory test data sheets, test records, product descriptions, and report photographs.

  • Assembles and disassembles test samples.

  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.

  • Some office administrative duties, such as shipping/receiving, logging new samples, monitoring sample inventory, purchasing office supplies, scheduling vendors, coordinating site events, etc.

  • Performs other duties as directed.

  • 0-4 years related work experience.

  • Proficient in MS Office.

  • Shows initiative and resourcefulness.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact and connect with customers.

  • Desire to work within a team environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
