Avivo's Ending Homelessness division provides pathways to housing for individuals experiencing homelessness. We work with county coordinated entry systems and tribal governments, as well as operating a unique street outreach teams to connect unsheltered individuals with shelter and housing. We assist individuals as they find and maintain housing, supporting them in scattered-site apartments in the community as well as site-based housing. We provide transitional recovery housing for individuals and families participating in Avivo's treatment programs. We operate Avivo Village to address the needs of individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness. Avivo Village is a low barrier and culturally responsive shelter with individual "homes" focused on moving residents to permanent housing. Avivo's Ending Homelessness Division strives for the highest quality of services using culturally responsive approaches and a deep commitment to harm reduction and housing first through trauma informed service delivery. All programs approach work from Housing First and Harm Reduction models of care. As a passionate advocate for housing as a human rights issue, the Program Manager, Operations, will lead a team of direct shelter operation staff in working to end homelessness for hundreds of individuals within our community. The primary focus of this position is the day-to-day operations of Avivo Village. The Program Manager has the opportunity to implement innovative responses to program and community needs and ensure the delivery of culturally responsive services for individuals served. This position will provide direct care within the program, including crisis intervention and may assume duties of direct service staff. The Program Manager, Operations will develop strong partnerships with funders, program partners, and other key stakeholders. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Address urgent client situations. Collaborate with the Evening Program Manager of Operations for overseeing shifts, shelter operations, Resident Advocate staff, administration staff, intakes, tiny home repairs, HMIS data input and supplies for shelter operations. In collaboration with the Program Director, develop and maintain all programs, ensuring best practices are being used. Develop formal program policies and procedures in collaboration team and approval by division leadership. Actively participate in the division's Trauma Informed Care Initiative and motivational interviewing. Support and implement evidence-based practices related to specific program areas. Monitor, measure, and report on operational issues, opportunities, plans, and achievements to Program Director Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with community partners. May assume role of Shift Supervisor or Resident Advocate as needed to meet program needs. Build and Maintain a Strong, Competent and High Functioning Staff Oversee the recruitment, hiring, training, retention, and development of a diverse workforce, ensuring adherence with all applicable organization policies and procedures. Promote and support involvement in the organization's commitment to undoing racism and reducing disparities. SUPERVISION: * Program Supervisors (2-4) (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift staff) * Resident Advocates (10-15) Qualifications High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in humanities field preferred. Minimum of three years' experience in the field providing direct client care. Minimum of 2 years sup rvisory experience, preferably in a behavioral health setting. This may include team lead experience, supervision of interns/volunteers, etc. Experience with and/or commitment to working in a diverse, continuum of services in a fast-paced, growing organization. Experience with and/or a demonstrated commitment to developing and delivering culturally responsive harm reduction, trauma informed services. Experience with electronic health records. Able to pass DHS background checks. Must have access to a personal vehicle. Mileage reimbursement will be provided. Must have a valid, current driver's license, proof of valid insurance and a clean driving record. PREFERRED: 1 year of professional experience in a community mental health setting preferred. Experience with programs serving individuals with dual diagnoses who have a history of long-term homelessness. Experience with operations management in a behavioral health setting.
