Overview

Fairview Specialty Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Supervisor. This position will have multi department responsibility and will supervise a team of employees who have daily interactions with providers/service line leaders. This role is responsible for providing direction, leadership, project management and oversight of the business functions for the designated area including staff, work processes and quality initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the area and will skillfully use interpersonal, customer service, problem solving and collaboration skills to support and manage operational objectives. This position partners with key stakeholders to drive strategic objectives, including, but not limited to program growth, financial stewardship, quality assurance, customer service, process improvement, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities Job Description

Provide direction and leadership of assigned team, including, scheduling, performance manage, and day-to-day operations.

Manage operational expenses to meet the financial goals of the organization.

Proactively identify and lead/participate in process improvement opportunities

Actively supports the recruitment, orientation and promotes the engagement of team

Accountable for initial and ongoing staff competencies and licensure requirements

Ensures effective and timely communication of relevant information as appropriate

Provides guidance to ensure performance management aspects such as mentoring, coaching, individual development etc. are in place and holds staff accountable to expectations

Partners with leadership and other organizational stakeholders to design, deliver and ensure efficient and safe day-to-day operations in assigned program, pharmacy, or service line.

Coordinates, collects, analyzes, and reports on key data points through use of technology and other information gathering mechanisms

Promote the pharmacy, program, or service line to develop ongoing improvements at the work location and provide effective, efficient and customer focused service to both internal and external customers

Work with key stakeholders to ensure appropriate quality and performance measures are in place to meet any policy, compliance or regulatory requirement

Work independently to problem solve operational errors that could impact bottom line financials

Make decisions on department processes with limited direction to appropriately support business needs

Demonstrates effective stewardship of resources.

Qualifications

Required

Education

Baccalaureate degree in business or healthcare related field or equivalent years of experience

Experience

3 to 5 years of Supervisory and/or leadership experience

License/Certification/Registration

Eligible to become registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the MN State Board of Pharmacy

Preferred

Education

Nationally certified. Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)

Experience

5 plus years of Supervisory and/or leadership experience
