Practice Details: The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota is seeking a full-time (1.0 cTE with 0.8 clinical time), board-certified or board-eligible academic orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in Hand Surgery to be hired at the rank of Assistant, Associate on the clinician track with a demonstrated interest in pediatric hand and upper extremity subspecialization. This surgeon will work at 0.5 FTE at Gillette Children's Hospital and 0.5 FTE at HealthPartners TRIA Bloomington, with non-surgical sports medicine providers, advanced imaging, occupational and hand therapy and other supporting services. These health systems bring multiple specialists together to blend the best in conservative and surgical treatment for complex bone, muscle and joint problems. These include: General and Subspecialty Orthopedic Surgeons, Podiatrists, Pain Management Providers, Neurosurgeons, Medical Spine (PM&R), Athletic Trainers, and Physical Occupational and Hand Therapists. This position is part of a team of 87 physicians within the University of Minnesota Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Opportunity may exist to work with hand fellows, plastics or orthopedic residents and/or medical students.
