A person in this position is expected to implement marketing strategies, analyze markets, trends, and create advertisement and promotions. This position will work collaboratively with the Marketing & Communications specialist to implement a webpage revamp. Create internal and external communications related to web content, event coordination, newsletter standardization, and other communications as needed. Job Responsibilities Website & Media (50%) Support SSW faculty, staff, and center project web pages. Refresh current SSW webpage design, content, structure, to increase engagement. Research, develop, write, and edit materials for department websites that highlight key initiatives, programs, students, alumni, and faculty. Maintain consistency across all SSW program area web pages. Implement changes to website architecture, organization, structure, and tools for continuous improvement. Work with the college web team and communications office as needed to deliver content. Writing & Communication (20%) Provide assistance in implementing and evaluating a communication plan for the departments digital news media needs. Make independent decisions and recommendations on how information is best communicated to internal and external audiences. Write and edit content for the school. Develop content for editorial projects to include newsletters. Branding & Marketing (20%) Implement Social Work brand strategy including brand style guide for SSW as a whole. Cultivate SSW's key audiences through consistent touchpoints. Provide consultation to departmental staff as to when printed materials are necessary. Execute department policies for branding and monitor brand use. Solicit feedback from current and prospective audiences to refine communication and branding strategies. Other (10%) Participate in university, collegiate, and school-wide committees. Seek training to remain current. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications BA/BS degree or a combination of related education and work experience to equal at least four years. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with applications such as Drupal, WordPress, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Salesforce. Ability to collaborate effectively with people from a variety of communities, backgrounds, and identities. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a marketing role in a university or campus setting.
