RBC Manager, Operations Sr III - Corporate Actions & Entitlements in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? This primary purpose of this position is to lead and manage multiple and diverse departments within Operations that ensures overall performance meets or exceeds the established industry and company standards for service, innovation and professionalism. Incumbent will provide work direction to Managers and more experienced individual contributors. This role provides enhanced customer service, process improvements, and complex problem solving within the department. Incumbent must understand regulatory and organizational risks associated with work processes, how work is processed from beginning to end, and dependencies on other areas and departments. Incumbent participates in Operations, firm, and/or industry initiatives providing process design, expert product knowledge, technical expertise, and problem solving unique to one or more specialty areas. Incumbent will analyze and resolve escalated issues independently with minimal supervision; seeking assistance from Director as appropriate. This position contains increased elements of risk which are managed through operational reviews and system checks. What will you do? Lead and manage the department to ensure overall performance meets or exceeds the established industry and company standards for service, innovation and professionalism. Establish and maintain credible, professional relationships with clients, internal business lines and external vendors. Solicit and respond to their feedback and gain commitment and support. Execute oversight activities for complex exception-based and/or highly specialized department deliverables and processes to ensure controls are effectively managing work quality, mitigating risk and aligned to regulatory adherence Participate in Operations, firm, and/or industry initiatives providing process design, expert product knowledge, technical expertise, and problem solving unique to one or more specialty areas. Provide business requirements, UAT testing, and implementation support as required. Lead Managers and experienced individual contributors to coordinate and delegate assigned responsibilities ensuring processes are performed according to prescribed regulations and established policies and procedures. Manage and oversee team members in the effective and accurate performance of the functions within the department to provide consistent, quality service and minimize risk. What do you need to succeed? Must-have 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent OR High school diploma or equivalent AND 5+ years of securities, banking, technology and/or job specific industry experience 5+ years prior securities, banking, technology industry and/or job specific related experience Securities license 7 or 99 (or able to obtain license within 120 days) 5+ years demonstrated and sound managerial experience leading and managing a team Strong Leadership, facilitation, negotiation, verbal & written communication skills to deal with senior executives Proven change leadership and change management skills Ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and/or simultaneous demands Nice-to-have Securities or Financial Services Industry regulatory and audit experience Strong knowledge and understanding of brokerage/financial operations, vendor management, and/or systems experience Demonstrated success in creating, communicating and executing business strategy and related outcomes Advanced knowledge related to business lines, business strategy, needs and technology Advanced problem identification, analytical and resolution skills required to support escalated issue resolution and/or oversight requirements associated with exception-based complex processes Comfortable in a position affording visibility and interface with senior management/executive.
