Park Avenue Center LICSW-Mental Health Supervisor in Minneapolis, Minnesota

PAC is seeking a PT Mental Health Supervisor to work in a positive work environment with a team of supportive professionals.

While embodying the organization's values, the Mental Health Supervisor is responsible for managing students and overseeing the Mental Health Services Clinic, including providing client services within the clinic.

Essential Functions

  • Coach a team of interns, at varying levels, throughout their practicum

  • Support counseling personnel with day-to-day clinical operations

  • Maintain internship team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training; coordinating schedules; managing performance, and developing personal growth opportunities

  • Accomplish intern results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards

  • Provide individual counseling services to clients in the Mental Health Services Clinic

  • Conduct diagnostic psychological assessments as requested; develop accurate and timely reports summarizing findings of diagnostic assessments

  • Provide guidance and serve as a resource for questions or concerns within the facility

  • Achieve facility and company vision and objectives through practice of Traction, including weekly meetings, quarterly goals, and accountability to the Operations Process

  • Demonstrate understanding and monitor organizational compliance with all appropriate professional standards, licensing and certification requirements

  • Maintain a positive, professional, and ethical demeanor with clients and within the community while following a strict code of ethics

  • Maintain regular communication with the Director of Mental Health Services regarding information pertinent to program management

  • May be responsible for the entire agency if the Executive Director and Clinical Director are unavailable to include the delivery of treatment services and admitting, transferring, or discharging clients

  • Maintain the physical facility in a manner which maximizes safety of the clients, visitors, and staff members

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must be free of chemical use problems for at least the two years immediately preceding hire

  • Must have received a minimum of 12 hours training in clinical and ethical supervision as required by MN Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy

Education/Licensure/Certification:

  • Must have a minimum of a master's degree

  • Must be licensed, or able to obtain licensure within 3 months of hire, as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Independent Clinical Social working

  • Must obtain and maintain required continuing education units and training
