Infrastructure Architect/PM BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Infrastructure Architect/PM for an opportunity in Minneapolis, MN! Position Title: Infrastructure Architect/PM Location: Minneapolis, MN Anticipated Start Date: 4/8/2024. Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date. Expected Duration: 10 months. Job Type: Contract, Remote Pay Range: $70/hr - $80/hr Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Job Description: A dynamic global medical device company has undergone expansion through acquisitions and seeks a skilled Contract Infrastructure Architect/Project Manager to join its team. Collaborating closely with the VP of IT and Senior Director of Infrastructure and Operations, you'll play a pivotal role in consolidating systems, enhancing efficiency, and strategizing infrastructure improvements. Key Responsibilities: * Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic plans for infrastructure consolidation and efficiency enhancement. * Design and implement large-scale, highly available infrastructure solutions, including LAN, WAN, telephony, Wi-Fi, and storage systems. * Manage client support operations with a focus on Windows clients, mobile devices, and Office 365, ensuring optimal functionality and user satisfaction. * Utilize architecture skills to translate technical and business requirements into comprehensive project plans and solution designs. * Wear multiple hats, balancing responsibilities in infrastructure architecture, project management, and solution implementation. What Experience Should you Have? * 5+ years of experience managing client support operations, with a strong emphasis on Windows clients, mobile devices, and Office 365. * 5+ years of experience implementing large-scale, highly available infrastructure solutions across LAN, WAN, telephony, Wi-Fi, and storage systems. * Proven ability to design solutions aligned with defined standards for client and infrastructure technology. * Demonstrated expertise in understanding both technical and business requirements, translating them into detailed project plans. * Project management experience, with the ability to balance responsibilities in definition, design, and project execution. * Experience working in a mid-size company with a global presence, preferably serving 1000-5000 users. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. * Flexible and adaptable mindset, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. * Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are advantageous but not mandatory.
