Overview: We are seeking an inquisitive, creative professional to develop written advocacy pieces as a Technical Writer for foreign nationals seeking immigration status in the United States to join the Immigration Department. Key Responsibilities Include: This position focuses on creating written and supporting materials including drafting, editing, summarizing, and rewriting persuasive prototype/expert letters, employer/sponsor letters, and USCIS cover letters for high level foreign individuals working largely at some of America's leading universities, healthcare institutions, and companies in the biomedical or engineering fields in order to establish their eligibility to attain immigration status, largely in recognition of their outstanding academic abilities or their professional contributions to the national interest in the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, or math) fields. This is a unique, challenging, and stimulating position in the vibrant area of immigration law, working at one of the largest and leading law firms in Minnesota in close conjunction with senior partners and attorneys as part of our Paralegal team in the firm's Immigration Department. Our Ideal Candidate Will Have: This position requires a passion for immigration law and superlative organizational, analytical and writing skills. The position is open to individuals with excellent attention to detail, superb verbal and written skills, and an interest in world affairs and foreign cultures. You must be able to work well in a document intensive and fast-paced environment. Experience preferred, but not required.
