We are seeking an entry level drainage engineer to join our Civil Design Group in our Minneapolis office. SRF offers a hybrid work model, allowing our staff to work fromthe officefull-time or work part-time in the office and part-time remotely after approximately one year of working full time in the office during training. As a Drainage Engineer, you will assist with the design of a variety of transportation focused drainage projects for public sector clients such as cities, counties, and transportation departments. Our group's services include hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, roadway drainage system layout and design, BMP design, permitting, and more. Design of Best Management Practices (BMPs) such as wet ponds, infiltration basins, filtration ditches, etc. Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling. Design of erosion control and sediment management BMPs. Stormwater permitting. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Biosystems Engineering. 0-2 years of prior related drainage design experience. Familiarity with construction plans, specifications, and estimates. Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT) certification or ability to attain within 6 months required. Strong analytical skills. Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a flexible team environment. Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills. Previous experience with CAD and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling applications (e.g. SWMM, Hydro CAD, Microstation/Geopak/ORD, and/or AutoCAD).
