Position Purpose

The Ecommerce Planner will improve the online customer experience and deliver company objectives for their designated product categories. This role will have a strong understanding of Ecommerce metrics including sales, traffic, customer satisfaction, and knowledge of how to drive these metrics holistically. They will oversee and execute the online merchandising presentation using analytics and insights to optimize the customer experience. They will be the online partner for the Product Team Merchants to develop and execute against customer-focused initiatives online.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Is the online category expert that shares channel-specific insights, learnings, and future site enhancements with cross-functional partners to plan and deliver on category goals

  • Ability to articulate online business metrics to forecast & LY (category conversion, revenue & traffic) and drive weekly recommendations based on trends

  • Uses digital, analytics, and testing tools to actively evaluate product details, attributes, imagery, and video. Researches new online functionality as it relates to improving the online customer experience.

  • Manages category presentation through slotting, sorting, findability, attribute optimization, ratings & reviews, recommendations, etc

  • Plans and executes key product launches and campaigns to deliver and drive business results.

  • Partners with the Product Teams to ensure the assortment displays appropriately online to deliver the best customer experience

  • Partners with the Digital Creative Team and Analytics to optimize promotional effectiveness within category-level promotional content

  • Understand the online competitors and industry best practices to ensure Sleep Number has a clear view of strengths, opportunities, and weaknesses within designated categories

Position Requirements

  • 3-5+ years experience in Ecommerce, digital experiences, digital product management, digital analytics or technology delivery and operations

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent work experience and demonstrated development skills.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Business Acumen

  • Strong customer, business, and analytic skills

  • Experience with digital analytics reporting tools (Adobe, Google Analytics, ForeSee).

  • Time management

  • Communication Skills (including written and verbal)

  • Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • This role is hybrid offering a balance of remote work with the opportunity to collaborate on-site at Sleep Number's Headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
