Insight Global Director R&D Development Engineering in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Description

Reporting directly to the CTO of Medical, we are looking for a Director of R&D. This individual will lead a team in the development of products ad processes to ensure device design pass timely and in budget. Additionally the director of R&D will have global responsibility for the development engineering organization in the medical devices product business unit. The perfect candidate will need a deep understanding of the technologies and manufacturing processes used in the device industry. Overall this director needs to be a leader who is passionate about people leadership, process development and strategic planning and will aspire to grow in their career into VP or executive leadership roles.

Skills and Requirements

*Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, MBA/Masters Preferred

*10+ Years of Demonstrated Engineering Management experience in Medical Device Manufacturing (MDM) or Technology, working with Internal and External Customers required

*Knowledge of FDA Regulations

*Must possess proven experience in Process Development

*Emphasis on this role is people leadership, not technical development. Must have come from another environment with an org of 50-80 people under leadership oversight

*Experience working in a B2B Manufacturing environment (i.e. third party manufacturing service provider)

*Strong preference for Medical Device Manufacturing

*Experience developing Manufacturing and Production strategy on behalf of other Business Customers

*Seeking long term goals of getting into VP and/or Executive Leadership

*Must be willing to travel up to 25% null
