Position Summary The director is responsible for implementation of the departments and programs that include Child Life, Spiritual Care, Interpreter Services, Welcome Center and Volunteer Services offered at Children's MN. This includes programs within Music Therapy, Pet Therapy, Star Studio, Operator Services and Family Resource Center The director collaborates with the VP, Operations to develop and advance strategic goals for the departments supported in alignment with Children's MN vision, mission and strategic plans. The director will provide operational direction and collaborate with internal and external partners including clinical teams, non clinical operations, compliance, philanthropy, finance, public policy and community engagement amongst many others to advance the strategic goals of CMN. The director has responsibility and accountability to ensure that services and programs provided in their portfolio are patient/family focused and operationally efficient in support of Children's clinical needs and the strategic plan. The director will play a critical role in fostering a healthy working environment that is welcoming to all employees and aligns with our principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Manages variance to daily operations in coordination with the VP, Operations. Collaborates with the VP, Operations to develop, implement and monitor a fiscally-sound budget for capital and operational resources, as assigned. The director will work with Children's Foundation, individual and corporate donors to ensure that philanthropic funds and donations are being appropriately managed according to donor intent. Education: *Bachelor's degree required *Master's degree in Child Life, Social Work, Child Development, Psychology, Business Administration or Heath Care Administration preferred Experience: *Minimum 7 years' of progressive management and leadership experience. *Minimum of 3 years' leadership experience in Human Services. *Minimum 5 years' in healthcare. Pediatric experience preferred. *Experience in Child Life, Volunteer Services, Spiritual Care, Interpreter Services, Social Work or related field. *Demonstrated success in system implementations. *A track record of developing people through coaching, mentoring, and encouragement. *Working knowledge and experience with non profit operations and philanthropic engagement. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: *Demonstrated ability in strategic thinking, planning, multi-tasking and implementation. *Possesses a proven track record of leading cost-effective operations. *Experience in successful partnering with other health care programs and organizations, including community agencies and donors. *Demonstrates excellent collaboration and influence skills. *Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate effective teams with proven ability to realize favorable outcomes and performance. *Expert communicator both in facilitating group discussion an presenting information in a larger forum. *Knowledge, methods and skills needed to effectuate change, to understand and value the perspectives and responsibilities of others, and the capacity to mentor others. *Strong financial acumen. The posted pay range represents rates for a grouping of multiple jobs within a salary grade. We carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Children's Minnesota.
