Gullview Technologies DevOps Engineer in Minneapolis, Minnesota

We have a great opportunity to define, design, and develop a series of modern solutions for a strategic client of ours as part of their Enterprise Digital Transformation journey. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our firm, and work with our client in the foundational stages of a transformation effort, with significant opportunities to lead efforts to introduce new capabilities into the client’s organization and drive significant business differentiation in the marketplace.

Initially, this role would be focused on providing technology capabilities and solutions to a dedicated client. Moving forward, a vision for the DevOps Engineer position would be to work with our Gullview senior leadership team to build out solutions for other clients on their journey.

Specific duties include:

  • Collaborate with the Solution Architect and product teams to determine pipeline and release strategy and design leveraging appropriate technology deploying highly scalable and available applications and infrastructure on the Azure Platform.

  • Help to build engineering automation and productivity tools to streamline and scale applications in the production and non-production environments.

  • Provide definition and design for the technical infrastructure, connectivity, integration patterns, and software designs that will facilitate efficient, timely, and secure data integration.

  • Collaborate with client cloud infrastructure teams to develop and meet corporate standards.

  • Collaborate with data analytics team on streaming data processing, data movement, and storage to data lake.

  • Establish and maintain software design patterns, coding standards, and style guides to enable rapid innovation with a high degree of reuse.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application development, deployment, and operations.

  • Communicate effectively with product and leadership team.

  • 100% hands on development role with future opportunities for leadership.

  • Provide technical leadership and coaching to development staff as needed in specific technical subjects.

  • Collaborate with UI/UX design and developers to integrate with public cloud resources.

  • Ensure solutions meet all functional and non-functional requirements.

Requirements

Preferred Skillsets and Technologies:

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer deploying solutions to public cloud infrastructure hosting models and integrated products.

  • 5+ years of experience in software development in modern languages and frameworks (C#, .NET).

  • Development experience with one or more Public Cloud platforms – Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.

  • Experience with modern delivery and deployment pipelines including Azure DevOps, Bicep, Terraform, Kubernetes, Jira, or open-source solutions (Jenkins, Git, etc.)

  • Experienced in engineering and delivering scalable cloud solutions. (Kubernetes/Docker)

  • Experience with serverless, modular, and microservice architectures.

  • Experience delivering software using Agile/Scrum and/or SAFe

· Experience and hands-on skills with containers + container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).

· Experience w/AI + Machine Learning a plus.

  • DevOps Champion and release pipeline development experience a plus.

  • Streaming analytics experience a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or Management Information Systems, or related IT field.
