RBC Business Systems Analyst - Municipal Finance Banking Plaform in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Summary Job Description What is the Opportunity? The Municipal Finance & Community Investments team are looking to add a Business systems analyst to the Banking Technology Management team. The Business Systems Analyst will assist in the management, administration and creation of proprietary internal banking technology applications used to facilitate the operations of the Municipal Finance and Community Investments business. These applications include CRM-like workflow management tools and collaboration sites. The ideal candidate will have a mix of financial services industry experience and engineering program/ project management experience. This role will require the individual to have or quickly develop a deep understanding of the Municipal Finance and Community Investment businesses. What will you do? You will have daily interaction with bankers, banking support, banking senior management and internal functional group to support their usage of the proprietary banking technology tools and relay updates, enhancements, changes, to the development team. Responsibilities include: Manage administrative functions of the internal applications including content administration and user management. Work with banking staff across the country to provide support and training on proprietary applications. Manage the department's internal information document library. This function requires working with internal teams to gather, update and manage content used to facilitate investment banking activity across the platform. Work with senior management and internal functional groups to manage the development of new proprietary transaction and data management platform as well as the enhancement of existing platforms. This includes scoping, writing business requirements, working with developers, testing, overseeing implementation, drafting training documents and providing support for new features. Interface directly with application developers (both in-house resources and offshore contractors) to oversee development and manage testing. What do you need to succeed? Bachelor's degree required; preferably with emphasis in computer science and/or finance. 4-7 years of experience in the technology, financial technology, banking, or management consulting industry Experience working with technical project managers or software developers. Familiarity with web technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, Angular, React, Node.JS, etc.) preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft productivity applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); Knowledge of VBA and experience writing macros is highly preferred. Experience using collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Figma) preferred. Knowledge of fixed income banking and/or real estate investment banking/management Ability to work cross functionally and collaboratively within a wide geographical footprint (conducting remote meetings). Available to work flexible hours on an as needed basis. While most of the work will be during normal business hours, this role requires multiple phone calls per week occurring in the evening or early morning. Ability to communicate and interface directly with senior management and investment bankers. Comfortable presenting and conducting in-person and videoconference training sessions.
