RMS Company Automation Engineer in Minneapolis, Minnesota

The Automation Engineer is responsible for working with Engineering and Operations to identify and implement automated manufacturing processes. Primary concentrations will include, but not be limited to automation and work center throughput improvements in machining, assembly, laser marking/welding, post processing, process improvements, and troubleshoot specific issues as needed. Automation Engineer Responsibilities: Cradle to grave automation project management, implementation, and production support Design and documents requirements acceptance tests of new automation. Liaison with automation vendors to quote and build automation. Develop and implement training of use of automation; to include programming, maintenance, set-up and adjustments. Establish and develop assembly processes and procedures for assembly. Develop assembly processes and fixtures with Engineering (DPM's). Troubleshoot assembly issues, interferences, customer requirements, etc. Provide clear and accurate documentation to support automation equipment. Work with Quality to develop capable and certified automated processes. Design, develop, and execute validation protocols of automated processes.
