Description We are offering an administrative assistant role within the education industry, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is integral to the smooth functioning of our educational institution, providing administrative support to deans, directors, and other key personnel. The position involves a range of tasks from meeting preparation to assisting with marketing activities, ensuring effective communication, and fostering student success.

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to deans and directors, including scheduling meetings, arranging travel, and handling mail

• Assist in the preparation of meetings by preparing presentation materials, handouts, agendas, and taking meeting minutes

• Generate and handle confidential correspondence and documentation, including letters, memos, forms, policies, and procedures

• Assist with the organization of conferences and events, and expand industry engagement opportunities

• Support program assessment by gathering student work and other related documentation

• Assist with marketing activities and support deans and directors in the student registration process

• Maintain and organize files related to the student academic experience

• Maintain regular and consistent contact with deans, directors, and academic coordinators

• Collaborate with various departments on campus to ensure student success

• Complete internal and external paperwork, make decisions, and generate reports as needed

• Distribute student survey and report results

• Support with faculty scheduling and assist with report generation for industry advisory committees

• Maintain and coordinate program memberships and subscriptions.

This role requires skills in Basic Office Skills, Microsoft Office Suites, Meeting Minutes, Event Planning, and Community Outreach. Requirements • A minimum of one year experience in an administrative role within the education sector.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Possesses basic office skills such as filing, photocopying, answering phone calls, and managing office supplies.

• Experience in taking and transcribing meeting minutes accurately and efficiently.

• Demonstrated skills in event planning, including scheduling, coordinating resources, and managing logistics.

• Proven ability in community outreach, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must have a detail-oriented approach to work, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Must have strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.

• High level of professionalism and discretion, as the role involves handling confidential and sensitive information.
