Consults with purchasing and other finance professionals within the Finance Operations Center to ensure appropriate and timely support for RRCs. Job Duties Accounts Payable 75% Conducts research and uses information and requests received from a portfolio of RRCs to complete the entry of data into EFS for purchasing functions following University standard processes and procedures in voucher entries, PCard activity entries and expense reports, check request and special handling of a check, invoice digitization and documentation, supplier set up, payment reconciliation and the like. Reviews received invoices and identifies and resolves moderately sophisticated irregularities. Understands, explains, interprets, and applies university accounts payable policy to various scenarios. Works with the Purchasing unit in the Controller's Office to collect supporting documentation for check requests and payment forms for EFS funds as well as for requests to change / update the supplier file. Handles vouchers to ensure appropriate approvals, match processes, and budget checks occur. Collaborates with accounts receivable specialists in the processing of returned goods and services as well as credit memos. Ensures receipts are entered, and all related support documentation is provided. Understands key accounting functions, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and other guiding concepts with proficiency. Unit Support 10% Contributes to the planning through the production and review of supporting financial data. May prepare ad hoc financial reports to support a portfolio of RRCs. Supports analysis and communication of impact of activities on RRCs' overall financial wellbeing. Professional Development 10% Contributes to training manuals and procedures for the Finance Operations Center. Identifies and participates in opportunities for cross-training across Finance Operations Center functions to maintain adequate coverage of all functions. Completes professional development, education, and training activities, consistent with managing the responsibilities of the position. Completes continued learning and development appropriate to work duties and for the pursuit of individual, unit, and institutional success. Participates in staff development based on individual need including ongoing skills training, DEI development, professional learning, service & scholarly activity, and engagement & well-being. Ability to read, interpret, and compile information according to prescribed methods. Ability to analyze data to make comparisons, perform verification and reconciliations, and compile reports. Ability to find solutions to modestly technical or operational problems.
