Workforce Resources Yard Crew - 4am Start in Minersville, Pennsylvania

SUMMARY

Yard Crew Laborers work primarily outdoors and requires climbing and physical activity. The main responsibilities include removing product from the production facility and loading trucks for delivery. The list below is not exclusive to the overall job duties of the Yard Crew Laborer and may include other miscellaneous duties.

DUTIES

  • Actively participate in promoting a safe work environment through awareness, team meetings and training
  • Tractor/Dolly set up for hauling
  • Tractor hookup
  • Move loads to various staging areas; Manual transmission trucks
  • Loading various forms of concrete beams on tractors (including superloads)
  • Working with large chains and binders
  • Ability to climb ladders (16ft) and work at medium heights Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

  • Must be willing to accept and receive supervision and assistance
  • Committed to quality, safety and communication
  • Knowledge and use of small hand tools
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills
  • Understand and follow written and oral instructions
  • Team-oriented and self-directed
  • Exposure to outdoor elements
  • Prolonged periods of standing and the ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Driver's License, ability to drive manual transmission preferred
  • Minimum 6 months related experience preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS

Yard crew laborers may need to work and communicate with other operations and with the quality department to understand any quality issues/concerns which may arise. Work performed in an outdoor and plant environment. Work areas may be hot, humid, drafty, cold, and occasionally littered. Proper housekeeping techniques should be followed to eliminate dirty and cluttered areas. Hazards on the job may include strains, cuts and pinch points from handling heavy, bulky, or sharp-edged products. These are kept to a minimum by following training manuals and using proper personal protective equipment and following safety regulations.

SCHEDULE / PAY

  • Monday to Friday
  • Saturday as needed
  • Early Morning Shift (4AM Start Times Typically)
    • May work 10-12 Hour Shifts as Needed
  • Must be Flexible, No Set End Time
  • $18.00/hour to Start
