Workforce Resources Production Supervisor - DIRECT HIRE in Minersville, Pennsylvania

Our Client is seeking applicants for a *DIRECT HIRE *Production Supervisor. Production supervisors are responsible for supervising and coordinating their team throughout the concrete beam manufacturing process, conducting employee training, improving efficiencies and maintaining high quality levels. The Production Supervisor will work closely with the Plant Manager in the planning and communication of daily plant activities.

Duties:

  • Conduct meetings with floor personnel to ensure work is properly delegated and deadlines are met.

  • Maintain the ability to prioritize projects and ensure they remain on schedule.

  • Plan and assign work within the Manufacturing Facility using labor, equipment, material, schedule and layout to produce product at minimum cost consistent with acceptable quality standards.

  • Provide effective associate relations within the team by ensuring practices are fair, consistent and follow the rules and regulations set forth by NPP.

  • Ensure safe working conditions and good housekeeping is maintained while meeting quality and cost requirements. Train and engage associates in improving safety practices.

  • Interpret and enforce company policies, rules and safety regulations.

  • Recommend and initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, terminations, pay increases, counseling and disciplinary measures.

  • Identify and implement productivity improvements in their assigned area.

  • Train associates to perform multiple standardized work combinations to meet changing demands and maintain processes at the desired productivity levels.

  • Assess associate performance, perform coaching and conduct performance reviews to maximize associate potential.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent. Additional study preferred.

  • Desired experience is 2+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing operation showing a progressive increase in responsibilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff, customers, suppliers, and operations.

  • Ability to prioritize and achieve objectives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must possess strong leadership skills and be capable of training and developing associates in an

  • environment of teamwork and cooperation.

  • Good practical experience with MS Office

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to read blueprints and/or Production Drawings.

  • Problem-solving skills.

  • ACI and PCI Certification preferred but will train the right candidate.

  • Valid driver's license require

Schedule:

  • Monday -- Friday, Must be available on the weekends if needed

  • Position is day shift, but the times and hours will vary depending on production needs. The most qualified applicants will have the ability to be flexible.

  • Starting salary will ultimately depend upon the skills and qualifications, but we are anticipating between $60,000-$70,000 per year. 

How does the hiring process work for this job?

Step 3: The agency will then use various methods such as job boards, social media, and their database to source potential candidates. Step 4: After receiving applications and resumes from interested candidates, the agency will review and screen them based on the job requirements. Step 5: The top candidates will be selected for an initial interview with the staffing agency. Step 6: During the in erview, the agency will assess the candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position. Step 7: If deemed suitable, the candidate's resume will be forwarded to the client company for further consideration. Step 8: The client company may then conduct their own interviews with the selected candidates to determine their fit for the position. Step 9: If a candidate is chosen by the client company, they will be offered a direct hire job by the staffing agency on behalf of the client company. Step 10: Once accepted by the candidate, all necessary paperwork will be handled by the client before starting employment. This ends the involvement of the staffing agency.
