Workforce Resources Industrial Maintenance Technician - Direct Hire in Minersville, Pennsylvania

Responsible for installing trouble-shooting, repairing, and general maintenance of mechanical systems of plant/production machinery 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION

 

  • Perform maintenance function and troubleshoot to correct inefficiencies and prevent equipment downtime by completing regular PM's
  • Follow all safety and company policies, reporting any issues, accidents or incidents immediately; must complete online safety training each month as assigned
  • Analyze, trouble-shoot, and repair mechanical problems of plant machinery;Ensure the maintenance and preventive maintenance of corrugating plant process equipment to achieve world class results; ensure all equipment is running properly and meets operational requirement
  • Work within specifications and drawings, responsible for ensuring completion, minimizing waste within set dates and times
  • Work with maintenance crew to carry out maintenance and repair projects in mechanical, fabrication, plumbing, welding functions.
  • Other corrective and preventive maintenance duties to be assigned by the supervisor from time to time
  • Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including federal and/or state required environmental systems, OSHA Safety and Health rules, fire and electrical safety codes and manuals, and standard operating procedures

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or 7+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of technical school education and experience.
  • Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience; overall maintenance functions.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Working knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical Systems, computers in an industrial environment including hardware, software configuration and troubleshooting, network configuration and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read schematics and trouble-shoot various pneumatic, hydraulic systems, PLC's and motors
  • Knowledge of computer and automated machines.
  • Strong maintenance, plumbing, electrical background (manufacturing preferred) in AC/DC motor control, troubleshooting, and electrical wiring code

     

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Constant standing, walking, talking, hearing; occasional sitting; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception and peripheral vision.  Reasonable accommodations may be available.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends
