Welcome to Parker Industrial Process Filtration

At Parker’s Industrial Process Filtration Division, we collaborate with our customers to offer filtration solutions for complex contaminant management issues. Our aim is to enhance product quality and safeguard critical equipment against maintenance issues and downtime.

The Industrial Process Filtration Division directly supports North America. In addition, IPF works with our global Parker Hannifin regional entities to leverage IPF products across the globe.

The purpose of this position is to provide direction and assistance to work teams in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role, the EHS Coordinator will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally, while visiting shop areas, be exposed to moving mechanical parts, to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The duties of this job are primarily performed in climate-controlled temperature office environments, with low to moderate noise levels and fluorescent, incandescent and/or natural lighting.

SAFETY

The employee must:

· Lead, adhere to and enforce all Safety guidelines.

· Actively lead Safety awareness.

· Participate in Safety audits.

· Implement multiple safety ideas or improvements on behalf of IPF Division team

The duties include, but may not be limited to the following:

· Maintain each facility’s compliance records for permits (review federal, state and local regulation changes that impact permits and permit compliance).

· Provide EHS operational support to ensure compliance with OSHA written management processes to include recordkeeping requirements per local, state and federal regulations.

· Assist in the investigation of all recordable, near miss and first aid incidents including documentation and root cause analysis.

· Assist with safety processes and training which provides ongoing safety awareness, emergency response (tornado and fire response) and safety orientation for site personnel.

· Assists consultants and contractors on related EHS issues.

· Attend all monthly Employee Safety Committee meetings.

· Monitor work areas to determine EHS solutions for business issues on a day-today basis.

· Initiate and influence integration of EHS policies and practices into the business.

· Assist with worker’s compensation insurance claims.

· Assists in implementation of EHS programs and procedures to ensure compliance.

· Administer compliance tracking programs and record keeping systems.

· Other duties related to site safety and health programs as directed by the Leadership Team.

The minimum qualifications required include, but may not be limited to, the following:

· At least 4 years’ experience in the required fields; preferably in a manufacturing environment..

· Capable of prioritizing, multi-tasking and working to agreed schedule.

· Ability to interface effectively at all levels within the company as well and with organizations outside IPF Division (e.g. suppliers and regulatory agencies)

· Good interpersonal and communication skills; oral and written.

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as local, state and federal regulation contracts, terms and conditions, work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

· Aptitude for learning new techniques, methods and principles.

· Six Sigma training or willing to attain.

· Working knowledge of electrical components and mechanical equipment, machinery and machine guarding.

· Knowledge of safety protection devices.

· Knowledge of Environmental requirements. Knowledge of and experience with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.

· Ability to solve practical problems using strong analytical skills.

· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision and possess sound reasoning skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering or related technical field.

· Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education (High School Diploma) and experience.
