Overnight Residential Counselor-West Elmont

Our West Nassau Community Residence for adults who suffer from persistent mental illness is seeking an Part-Time, Overnight Residential Counselor. The residential program assists its residents in learning the skills necessary to move on to a more independent living environment.

Responsibilities

  • Nightly medication management count.

  • Maintain cleanliness, maintenance, and upkeep of the house during shift.

  • Maintain all necessary agency and regulatory paperwork.

  • Ensure that the program and the residence are operating in compliance with all regulatory and funding requirements including conducting security checks and fire drills.

  • Provide counseling and supervision to residents as needed.

  • Ensure the Medication Management and Training procedures are properly followed.

    • Qualifications
  • HS diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Minimum 1-year of experience working with adolescents in a residential setting.

  • Valid NYS Driver's License

Additional Information

Schedule: Friday and Saturday 11pm-7am

Location: Elmont

Salary: $19.23/hr
