The Opportunity

FCA is excited to announce an opportunity for the position of Budget Manager.

The Budget Manager is an integral member of the Fiscal team working under the guidance of the Chief Financial Officer in meeting the fiscal needs of Family and Children’s Association

Specifically, the responsibilities and qualifications of the position include:

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with Program personnel and maintain strong working relationships with Assistant Vice Presidents and Program Directors

  • Develop program and administrative budgets, forecasts, and budget modification when required by contracts.

  • Analysis of monthly program financial results and review of quarterly and annual budget reports with finance team and program leadership

  • Coordinate with funding agencies, including financial reporting to the grants administration and responding to information requests from federal, state and local government management offices.

  • Plan, organize, and execute financial tasks and projects of the organization.

  • Provide financial insight and analysis to drive the business performance of the organization.

  • Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of managerial and relevant experience.

  • Knowledge of accounting principles accepted in the United States of America and cost accounting principles.

  • Operational accounting experience required, including budgeting, forecasting, grant monitoring and variance reporting.

  • Experience with federal contract reporting a+

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to develop and recommend solutions.

  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks on a timely basis with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly communicate with operating management, financial staff, and other departments.

  • Strong computer skills, including enterprise-wide accounting applications.

  • Commitment to the mission of Family and Children’s Association.

Compensation Information

  • The competitive compensation range is reflected with FCA's framework, culture, and values. Individual pay decisions will vary based on skills and experience' while still allowing for growth.

Additional Information

  • Salary: $75-85,000/annually

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday

  • This role is full-time (35 hours/week), Exempt
