Job Description Summary

Sr Sales Manager is responsible for, with clear vision and positive mindset, building business opportunities for onshore wind in Japan, orchestrating GE key functions to materialize it, and delivering value to customers as trusted partner, aligning with GE’s business growth strategy.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Build trust & develop strong relationship with customers, partners, and colleagues at various level based on customer/business needs and preferences. Oversees all aspects of sales activities in line with GE Onshore Wind business plans.

  • Possess and establish relations with major players in business community and the governmental structures.

  • Orchestrate entire business development steps from off-season activity to bid preparation, negotiation of conditions and deal closure (closing Early Work Agreement) within agreed target period.

  • Closely work with Product Line team to assess market needs and reflect those feedback to GE’s future product line up or value adding proposal to customer.

  • Collect and provide market insights to facilitate evaluation of company's competitive position, including both commercial and technical competitiveness with objective manner.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • A bachelor degree in business or related area

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in commercial, sales and/or marketing functions, having Wind business experience preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills at all levels

  • Customer-centric mindset, able to translate customer issues/needs into profitable business Solutions

  • Clear thinker and able to make decision objectively

  • Strong negotiation skills and leadership

  • Excellent strategic thinker who can translate business development challenges into opportunities

  • Fluent in English and Japanese

  • Self-starter, strong team player and ability to maintain can-do attitude all cycle of business

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in wind industry is a plus

  • Having engineering or financial background is a plus
