Reports to: Senior Manager, IT Business Applications, APAC

JOB SUMMARY:

This role is required to support the ongoing Global Transformation to a ‘One Newell’ strategy. Given the heightened focus on driving simplification and standardization across all workstreams, this person will be responsible for identifying and prioritizing opportunities, aligning with local business leaders, coordinating the local IT from different towers resources and overseeing the project execution through completion.

JOB DUTIES:

  • To be the business partner to understand the business objectives, strategies, current business conditions, opportunities, weaknesses and proactively investigate IT solutions that can drive value for the business:

  • To assist the business in the “Discovery” and “Analysis” stages of potential projects that inline with the global direction

  • To research, investigation, and alignment with Global IT to uncover new opportunities (business processes improvement and harmonization) to leverage technology to improve overall business results

  • To assist in developing project priorities, proposal, funding, resourcing, timeline and negotiation

  • To lead, to manage the approved projects until their completion by using Newell Brands’ standard project methodology/guidelines

  • To develop and to obtain agreement on the project plans from the stakeholders

  • To ensure the timely, acceptable solution and escalation process for the raised ServiceNow production support tickets

  • To assist the Tower Leaders to develop, to coordinate and to support their team member within the country:

  • Oversight and holding accountable functional teams leading specific initiatives so that timing, objectives, budget remain on track

  • To participate in the APAC IT events and programs

  • To work closely with the Head of APAC Business Systems to develop and to execute the approved rolling 3 years IT business plan

  • To perform the other administrative tasks, team performance and productivity analysis, customer satisfaction investigation, local IT recruitment assistance

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bilingual in Japanese and English (Fluent)

  • Have good level of business acumen and people skills

  • Ability to work within the matrix global-regional organization

  • Experienced in project management – Agile or Waterfall or combination of both

  • Knowledge of SAP functionality in one or more modules and learn Newell ‘Global Template’ processes

  • Experienced in IT Business Analysis process and methodology

  • Preferably to have EDI, ARIBA, IBP, CRM (SalesForce) and eCommerce knowledge

  • Experienced in vendors and customer (internal) service management

  • Knowledge in IT Helpdesk, infrastructure and security procedures

  • Expertise in one or more business functions including understanding key process flows, critical requirements, and extensive partnership with key members in the organization.

  • Understanding of Common SAP and Applications Implementation Project Methodology including GAP Fit, Mock, SIT, WITL, and Go-live phases.

  • Strong communication and partnering skills across organization including APAC Business Applications team, business functions, APAC Leadership team, and Global IT leaders

  • Resource should be onsite minimum of 3 days per week to help coordinate IT activities, arrange face to face meetings, and engage with business partners.
