Key Responsibilities:

lImplement and sustain a positive health, safety, and environmental culture through a management systems framework.

lEstablish short-term and long-term strategic plans for continual improvement, leading programs, policies, and assessments to ensure compliance with internal requirements and external regulations.

lBuild strong cross-functional relationships, ensuring understanding of roles and responsibilities for fostering a positive health, safety, and environmental culture.

lLead hazard identification, risk assessment programs, and environmental aspect identification to identify improvement opportunities and compliance gaps.

lDrive daily health, safety, and environmental operations, addressing issues such as compliance, resource management, incident investigation, and emergency preparedness.

lDrive improvements in performance metrics using a risk-based and data-driven approach, adhering to internal reporting requirements and leading annual Health, Safety, Environmental Management Systems reviews.

lCoach and develop direct reports and cross-functional teams, actively seeking self-development opportunities in alignment with emerging trends in health, safety, and environmental practices.

Qualifications

lInjury and Illness Management: Ensures compliance through accurate reporting, clinical treatment, and case management for employee recovery.

Experience

l8 years in similar HSE related role with prior team leadership or management experience

lKnowledge of ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards and local regulations

lStrong Communication skills with stakeholders and business team

lBilingual fluency in both Japanese and English

lNot mandatory but strong preference toward experience in Power Generation or similar projects

lAbility to work with and manage contractors
