Position Summary Under the direction of the Associate Director Transportation ensures execution of standard processes and policies for transportation courier services including blood product hospital deliveries and returns, donor center and mobile blood pick-ups, supply deliveries, distribution site transfers, Diagnostic Lab sample pick-ups, Pharmacy deliveries, Donor Testing Lab tube deliveries and additional ad hoc courier needs, including overnight and same day air deliveries. Responsibilities Transportation Management Operations * Ensures execution of Versiti policies and procedures for internal blood product hospital deliveries and returns, donor center pick-ups, supply deliveries, distribution site transfers, Diagnostic Lab sample pick-ups, Pharmacy deliveries, Donor Testing Lab tube deliveries and additional ad hoc courier needs. * Daily execution of fleet upkeep and oversight of vehicles. * Fosters local outsource supplier relationships and agreements to ensure delivery expectations are achieved across Versiti for a 24/7 operation including all holidays. * Facilitates proactive relationships with hospital partners blood bank managers and attends business reviews with Hospital Relations. * Maintains scheduling and routing functions to balance insource / outsource and scheduled / on demand deliveries to optimize productivity for state(.) * Ensures work systems and processes are effective, efficient and maximize productivity. * Establishes processes and accountabilities to ensure quick responses to patients needs...
