JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: Summer Opportunity to work June through August 2024 Under direct supervision, provide support to social behavioral research and curriculum assessments, to inform and understand sustainability and environmental issues affecting the health of citizens. Primary Functions Collaboration on seminar series, conferences, and community engagement activities As requested and available, participate in meetings to discuss above outlined deliverables Drafting newsletter content Conducting clinical research related to sustainability, quality improvement, or specific disease states exacerbated by environmental factors Additional support for the research and curricular work outlined in the planning year proposal Review published literature and research topics as requested to help develop topic summaries, or other needed informational products to be used for policy development, departmental advising, or public messaging Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Knowledge of data interpretation and analyses, evaluation of published literature, documentation, and records management. Additional skills required: data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills, communication skills, and organizational skills. Preferred Schedule: 8-5 PM, M-F Position Requirements: Medical Student in good standing at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Specifications Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis Minimum Required Education: Bachelor\'s Degree Minimum Required Experience: None Preferred Education: Candidates must be current students working toward an MD or PhD and interested in providing support to social behavioral research and curriculum assessments, and understand sustainability and environmental issues affecting the health of citizens. Preferred Experience: Research or policy experience preferred Students must be able to provide independent transportation to and from MCW, and legally authorized to work in the United States.
