Mason Street Grill is looking for enthusiastic Bartenders and Servers to provide an excellent event and guest experience this summer. You will create amazing memories and exceed our guests\' expectations. Prior bartending experience and a bartender\'s license is required for all bartenders. Mason Street Grill in downtown Milwaukee has become a local favorite for delicious steak, great hand-crafted cocktails, and jazz music. In addition to great food and drinks - we also have exceptional service you can\'t find anywhere else. At Mason Street, we want to serve experiences. Whether it\'s the upbeat aromas, the background sounds of live music, or the taste of a refreshing cocktail after a long day at work, we want to make sure that our guests\' time spent with us will bring them back again and again. What you\'ll be doing: Greet the guest in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness. Maintain positive interaction with guest. Work as a team player and assist co-workers as needed. Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction. Market and serve upon request any dessert items or specialty coffees. Present check to guests promptly. Collect payment for check. Always thank guest and invite them to return. Supplement the bus help in clearing and resetting tables. Always pre-bus main course dishes before guest leaves the table. Perform all assigned side work to include replenishing condiments and restocking service areas. What you will bring: Must possess an innate desire to serve. Ability to maintain standards for service, steps of service and all departmental standards. Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language sufficient to understand menus, special promotions, record orders and communicate with guests. Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items. Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift. Prior food and beverage experience preferred. Prior hospitality experience preferred.
