JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Senior Software Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee, WI will design, build, and maintain existing and new features. Follow Agile scrum software development life cycle for development activities. Attend day to day meetings and participate in feature development, product increment planning, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Utilize APIs and Database tools including postman, MySQL, and SQL Server. Establish, aggregate, and share team standards and best practices. Work closely with business stewards and other engineering team members to gather and implement requirements according to best practices. Analyze design options and provide estimates for feature implementation. Utilize frontend tools including React, SASS, or Redux. Collaborate with Test Ops and App Support teams to ensure the application software changes are deployed in test, staging, and production environments using established processes. Create unit testing and perform regression testing to ensure the application changes meet the specified requirements. Utilize Docker, Kubernetes, Gitlab CI/CD, and Ansible. Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week.
