JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: The Senior Director, Planned Giving and Principal Gifts will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding principal and planned gift prospects. They will work closely with faculty, community leaders, senior administrators and volunteers, to secure principal and planned commitments at the \$2,000,000+ level in support of research, education, community engagement and patient care initiatives supporting Froedtert Hospital Foundation and the Medical College of Wisconsin programs. The Senior Director will serve as a guide to other fundraising professionals to secure appropriate planned gift and deferred give opportunities. The Senior Director serves as an expert in planned gifts to members of MCW/FHF\'s staff in their gift discussions with potential donors, working to manage the administration of all active estates and other testamentary gifts, including communications with attorneys, fiduciaries, and other advisers. The Director will consistently train MCW/FHF\'s staff on relevant planned giving topics. The Senior Director will build and execute engagement and stewardship programming for all planned giving donors in partnership with stewardship and events colleagues. The Senior Director will bring a specialized set of skills and expertise in planned and estate philanthropy. They will deeply understand technical aspects of planned giving vehicles and the relevant tax and estate consequences of these vehicles and how they can be used to enhance MCW/FHF\'s philanthropy efforts. The Senior Director will manage the processing of stock gifts, facilitation of life insurance premiums and gifts, bequests, planned and life income gifts, in conjunction with the operations team. The Senior Director will be highly collaborative and a distinct leader in the Office of Institutional Advancement, charged and excited to educate others on the impact and opportunity of estate giving. The successful candidate will possess exceptional relationship-building skills, a proven track record of securing major and principal donations, and a deep understanding of relational philanthropic principles.
