MARQUETTE UNIVERSITY Postdoctoral Research in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Overview This position is looking for a short-term post-doctoral researcher (4-6 weeks) with knowledge of microscopy and computational modeling of materials to assist in simulations of porous additive manufactured aluminum structures and the subsequent characterization of such structures with a microCT microscope. The position will require substantial updates to the current microCT setup and offers opportunities to be included in future journal article publications. Duties and Responsibilities The application will setup and modify a current CT scan device for micro-tomography. They will run Abaqus simulations of previous microCT scans to characterize porosity growth and support their measurements. They will assist in journal article preparation if required within the timeframe of the position.
