JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Overview Parent coordinator for Tragil Wade-Johnson Summer Reading Program. Position open only to applicants from designated partner schools, as known and approved by partner school administration. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Communicated with partner school and parents of children about their child\'s behavior on the bus and at Marquette. 2. Communicate regularly with Hartman Center Program Coordinator and Director about child behavior, attendance, and other issues/concerns that arise throughout the duration of the Tragil Wade-Johnson Summer Reading Program. 3. Parent Coordinators will keep an attendance record for their school and communicate child absences with the Program Coordinator for the Hartman Center. 4. Maintain confidentiality. 5. Arrive at partner school at or before 7:30am to supervise children participating in the summer program, take attendance, and supervise loading onto school bus for transportation to Hartman Center. 6. During transportation to and from the program from the partner school, assist the driver in maintaining safe behavior on bus. All children must remain seated, no more than three children to a seat, and noise level kept at a comfortable level. 7. Supervise children in Hartman Center as needed during: bathroom breaks, walking to/from bus, recess, and when children are feeling ill or need to be redirected for learning. 8. Assist with administration of the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) through counting meals when delivered to the Hartman Center and when served to children at morning snack and lunch. 9. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 10. Must be able to pass a background check as the position works with minors.
