JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB TITLE: Paraprofessional General- Monolingual English orBilingual English / Spanish FLSA STATUS: Hourly -Overtime Eligible 10 month position - 35 hours a week. LOCATION: Charter School (Either campus) PRIMARY FUNCTION: Aids classroom teacher in supporting and assisting students with keeping pace, distribution of materials, helping students to follow teacher, and other classroom resources, and help maintain classroom management. May help with student and teacher with translation as needed to ensure a high quality, comprehensive, and appropriate instructional program. This is a 10-month position. PRIMARY DUTIES: Legend: E = Essential NE = Non Essential N/A = Not Applicable BILINGUAL POSITIONS MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM ALL OF THE DUTIES LISTED BELOW IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH: Assist teacher with the implementation of the curriculum; either individually or in groups, to include provide supplemental instruction, classroom management, supervision of students, material preparation, etc. E Ensure a safe environment, including knowing where children, prevent accidents, and injury and respond to fire/emergency drills and other incidents. E Attend meetings and professional development activities, as required. E Establish and maintain good communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all parents, co-workers, etc. E Follow all duties of a mandated reporter. E Perform other related duties, as assigned.
