JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: Be part of Milwaukee history!! Usinger\'s is looking for a Dock/Material Handler to join our team. For IMMEDIATE consideration, apply in person at 303 E. Florida St., Milwaukee 53204, door \"U\". ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Receive and unload deliveries including raw materials from outside vendors and Usinger trucks coming from our Distribution Center. 2. Receive deliveries from front desk (i.e. UPS, FEDEX, etc) 3. Assist semi-trailers backing into dock. Take and document temperature of meat prior to unloading. 4. Unload deliveries from semi-trailers or delivery trucks by hand, pallet jack and forklifts. 5. Sign paperwork to release driver. 6. Move product with forklift and pallet jack in, out and around a multi-floor facility. Break down shipment, sort pallets, put away product, rotate stock. 7. Core meat for lab. 8. Organize freezer; rotate product; move pallets 9. Replenish spice room; collect bulk bags of product and stock on shelving in spice room. 10. Break down cardboard, clean dock and building grounds. 11. Responsible for outside building maintenance when necessary. 12. Notify management immediately of any safety or quality concerns. 13. Comply with strict food and worker safety procedures. 14. Perform other duties when docks are not busy: sanitation, assist production lines, etc. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Basic computer skills Good verbal and written communication skills Detail oriented and organized; Reliable and cooperative Must have previous forklift experience; Forklift operators should display good judgement, hand-eye coordination, quick reflexes, and concentration DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS OF POSITION: On feet entire shift. Regular use of hands, reaching, and bending. Lifting up to 65 lbs. Work areas include refrigerated and freezer environments This is a physical position involving pushing/pulling of equipment; loading/unloading pallets Must be open to job duties and willing to assist wherever needed Hours are 6am - 2:30 pm- may be longer when needed. Qualifications: -Must have previous forklift experience - Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple shipments simultaneously - Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including order picking and inventory management - Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and generating reports - Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required within refrigerated and freezer environments - Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues is a plus Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
