Crane 1 Services, Inc. Manufacturing Project Coordinator in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Reports to: Director, Manufacturing Operations

The Manufacturing Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the production of all crane building and outsourcing for two (2) manufacturing facilities in the U.S. The ideal candidate will be a professional and clear communicator who can collaborate and as needed, negotiate with vendors and branch personnel. A detailed and highly organized individual who can quickly identify and mitigate project scheduling issues

Position Roles & Responsibilities

  • Receive new orders and input bill of materials into MRP planning system.

  • Develop project plans to provide visibility and status of all crane projects across the company.

  • Procure appropriate materials from pre-qualified vendor list based on specification, price, quality, & delivery.

  • Collaborate with New Crane Specialists (NCS) and branch personnel to assure site readiness aligns with crane manufacturing build and delivery dates.

  • Maintain vendor relationships through constant monitoring / expedite deliveries as necessary to meet plans.

  • Monitor project budgets and costs in both manufacturing facilities via the MRP system.

  • Coordinate with Production Supervisors in each plant to receive material and process vendor invoices

  • Provide visibility to manufacturing slots or overflow and participate in outsourcing decisions.

  • Coordinate and facilitate outside production services such as site transportation, etc.

  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with outsourcing partners, serving as the primary point of contact for communication, issue resolution, and ongoing collaboration with New Crane Specialists and branches

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent communication skills in customer service and coordinating with the divisions

  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing

  • Detail-oriented, Highly organized, self starter

  • Medium to high level of competence in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, and Word

  • Experience with Sage 300, Sage MRP, and SmartSheets preferred

  • Knowledge of crane and hoist industry a plus

  • AS or BS Degree in Engineering or Business Administration desire
