Are you mechanically inclined with experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment? PCA offers a Maintenance Trainee Program that provides a comprehensive curriculum designed to advance your career and incrementally increase your earnings! The program will include hands-on and computer-based training. You will work in a team environment to gain insight and learn from experienced maintenance professionals. Receive automatic pay increases as training levels are completed!

Pay and Benefits:

Pay starts at $26.67 per hour and will automatically increase as you progress through the 4 ½ year training curriculum. Earn as much as 20% more for completing the program in addition to annual wage adjustments! Receive an additional 35% more income for completion of advanced training levels!

PCA provides paid training to help technicians advance through the skill levels and achieve higher pay.

PCA provides an annual tool stipend of $400 to help technicians maintain basic hand tools. PCA provides all special and heavy tools.

PCA provides stipends for Safety shoes and Safety Glasses.

Responsibilities:

This position is based at the PCA Box Plant located in Milwaukee, WI.

As a Maintenance Trainee, you will learn to perform a variety of maintenance tasks including diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems on plant equipment.

As a Maintenance Trainee, you will work as part of a team to learn how to safely perform Preventive Maintenance Activities as well as answer break down calls in a production environment.

All Maintenance Technician positions are multi-craft and as a Maintenance Trainee, training is provided to develop these skills.

Basic Qualifications:

2+ Years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment OR a Technical Degree in the Mechanical or Electrical Trades. Previous experience with basic preventative maintenance skills preferred.

The production schedule is 3 shifts. Maintenance Technicians are placed on shifts according to plant needs and seniority. Opportunities to change shifts are available when organization changes occur or production schedules change. Current openings are for 2ndor 3rdshift.

Be Authorized to work in the US.

Experience in the Corrugated Packaging or Printing Industry is a plus.
