FTE: 1.000000 Shift: Shift 1 Monday - Friday (no weekends or holidays) Job Summary: This position plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates the assigned Heart & Vascular Program in collaboration with the H&V Service Line Program Manager, H&V Service Line Medical Director, and Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Directors of Emergency Services. Through coordination of quality improvement initiatives, regulatory agency reporting, and reporting, this position works in pursuit of obtaining and maintaining the program accreditation. This position also assists with planning, development, and implementation of Program goals and operations across the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin system. Performs such other duties as reasonably requested or otherwise necessary to properly assist in the operations of an accredited program. The Coordinator job description has incorporated essential functions, which are adapted from the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010). EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: relevant nursing experience is required EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN).SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Ability to utilize and navigate Electronic Health Records and other technology as appropriate to the role within the department and organization. Ability to multitask, be detailed-oriented within an often-stressful environment and be able to perform the nursing process in a fast-paced and complex work environment.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. Staff in the Chest Pain Program also require American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire. ACLS is preferred for staff in the Vascular Program. CCRN or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) is preferred.
