SET ENVIRONMENTAL INC Entry Level Environmental Engineer in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: POSITION DESCRIPTION An Entry Level Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist at SET Engineering is responsible to: Assist project managers in execution of project work on time and within budget Perform field work consisting of soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling Complete environmental investigation activities such as overseeing drilling activities, logging soil, and installing and developing groundwater monitoring wells Complete Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments Evaluate environmental data comparing data to state or federal clean-up standards Complete storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs) for commercial and industrial clients Prepare spill prevention, control, and countermeasure plans (SPCC) for commercial and industrial clients Provide environmental expertise for new projects and project improvements Lead continuous improvement efforts and assess management of change requirements Provide environmental field services support with a variety of projects including confined space entry, environmental remediation, waterway/emergency response, hazardous material clean up POSITION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Geology, Science or related discipline Experience in Environmental Engineering field a plus Excellent communication, both verbal and written, as well as organizational skills Ability to interact professionally and independently within the company and with the customer, vendors, and associates Must be flexible to work different hours as needed by the department/business Willingness and ability to work outdoors in sometimes challenging conditions performing physical labor as needed Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) Knowledge of government environmental compliance regulations and procedures Ability to respond to out-of-town projects as needed (25%-50%) OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training preferred EIT preferred Must pass a local, state and federal background check Must pass DOT physical including drug and alcohol screening SET Environmental is an equal employment opportunity employer which provides a drug-free workplace.
