Job Overview The Cost Optimization Manager is responsible for leading supply chain activities and cost-out initiatives for the Drill product line. The cost Optimization Manager establishes and implements sourcing strategies, policies and procedures, and provides support with the sourcing selection process, working closely with Category Managers to make recommendations for sourcing. Additionally, this position will be working with Operations and Manufacturing to assist in developing best practices and execution for Drill product line manufacturing. Key Job Responsibilities Leads cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, manufacturing, logistics and supply chain to assure all project targets are achieved. Champions the coordination of Original Equipment location content/price analysis (make/buy) to determine best source of supply per contractual tenders and region-specific legal requirements. Drives Drill product cost-out initiatives to achieve market competitive pricing. Leads the management of projects to support customer on time delivery. Evaluates and develops a pool of qualified suppliers to drive cost savings, supporting continuous improvement. Achieves supply chain efficiencies, cost management, global utilization of inventories and capacities. Optimizes material/product movement, promotes partnerships with suppliers and customers. Provides ongoing evaluation of the supply base in the areas of market research, product quality, competitive pricing, capability, and capacity.
